About the Role: This role will place the brand into the right physical retail environments — department stores, premium lifestyle stores, and shop-in-shop counters — and then drive sell-through through replenishment, VM, and key-account management. The person will be the brand's face in front of retail buyers.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Development

  • Identify and onboard department store chains, premium lifestyle chains, and curated standalone stores.
  • Negotiate margin structures, listing fees, payment terms, and commercial agreements.
  • Manage the retail vendor registration, documentation, and compliance process for each chain.

Sell-Through & Replenishment

  • Track weekly secondary sales and sell-through by store and SKU.
  • Drive replenishment planning with warehouse and OEM teams.
  • Flag slow movers early and coordinate with marketing on in-store activations.

Visual Merchandising

  • Coordinate with Designer on VM elements, signage, and display standards.
  • Audit store displays periodically and maintain brand consistency.
  • Plan festive takeovers, end-caps, and seasonal pushes.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with category buyers and store managers.
  • Resolve returns, damages, and commercial disputes quickly.
  • Track receivables and ensure timely collections.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Number of active doors / counters.
  • Monthly secondary sales and sell-through per door.
  • Gross margin retention post all retail deductions.
  • Stock availability at active stores (fill rate).
  • Timely collections and DSO on retail accounts.
  • New-door additions per quarter.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate / postgraduate, with sales background.
  • 3–5 years in modern-trade or retail sales within home, lifestyle, fashion, or premium consumer brands.
  • Experience dealing with LFS buyers and SIS operations preferred.

Skills & Attributes

  • Data-led thinking on sell-through and inventory planning.
  • Strong relationship-building with buyers and store teams.
  • Attention to VM, display standards, and retail hygiene.
  • Working knowledge of retail commercials — LTA, margin structures, markdowns.
  • Willingness to travel 30–40%.

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Founder / Business Head.
  • Works closely with Warehouse on replenishment and Designer on VM.
  • External: category buyers, store managers, mall / retail partners.
