Middle Office Controls Analyst

Our Global asset manager partner, who is establishing its new business service center in Budapest is hiring a Middle Office Controls Expert. Their purpose is to help clients define and achieve superior financial outcomes through differentiated insights, disciplined investment approaches, and exceptional service.

Your responsibilities…

• Supports investment operations by setting up and maintaining accounts, products, and counterparties in the Aladdin platform.
• Ensures timely and accurate execution of middle office controls to maintain strong data integrity and reliable processes.
• Assists with onboarding activities and coordinates street facing operational workflows.
• Contributes to process and operating model improvements in collaboration with Operations Leadership.
• Works closely with portfolio management, data operations, technology, compliance, legal, and risk teams to maintain clear procedures and documentation.
• Supports operational projects through information gathering, testing, and helping implement new processes or systems.
• Establishes and maintains management reporting for investment operations activities.
• Follows internal policies and regulatory requirements, assisting with audit and review preparation.
• Performs additional duties as needed.

What you will need to succeed…

• Fluent English language knowledge
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments, the trade lifecycle, and middle‑office workflows
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with the capability to investigate issues and suggest practical solutions.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate smoothly with operations, technology, compliance, and other internal teams.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.

Nice to have…

• Experience in operational controls, trade support, or similar functions within asset management or the broader financial services industry.Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks such as MiFID II, AML, or market‑abuse regulations.
• Experience working with workflow tools, reporting solutions, or data management platforms (e.g., Aladdin, Charles River, Eagle, or similar systems).
• Familiarity with project or change‑management tasks, including testing activities or documenting process enhancements.
