Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to drive the translation of retail workflows into scalable, system-based solutions. The role involves collaborating closely with developers and global clients to implement planning solutions, supporting end-to-end retail planning, data analysis, and system configuration, and ensuring our platform is optimally configured for international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Planning : This is a SaaS Retail Planning Expert Advisor role. You will be guiding and configuring the system for clients, supporting implementations, and advising on retail planning workflows—not doing hands-on merchandise planning day-to-day

• Configure Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) and weekly/monthly planning (WSSI/MSSI).
• Set up Open-to-Buy (OTB), forecasting, category, channel, and regional planning.
• Support margin, markdown, and pricing strategies.

Implementation & Client Support

• Onboard global clients and translate Excel-based processes into system workflows.
• Map ERP data (sales, stock, purchasing) into the Merchmix platform.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and go-live readiness.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance planning efficiency.

Collaboration with Engineering

• Define functional requirements and validate system calculations.
• Test AI alerts and exception rules.
• Provide structured feedback and document functional specifications.

Data & Analytics

• Analyze large datasets to validate inventory and demand signals.
• Support allocation and replenishment logic.
• Build dashboards, trading packs, and scenario forecasts.

Cross-Regional Coordination

• Support implementation calls and training sessions with AU, US, and UK clients.
• Act as a retail subject matter expert for global accounts.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3 years in Merchandise Planning / Retail Planning or a relevant graduate degree.
• Core Skills: Expertise in WSSI, MFP, OTB, and category planning.
• Multi-channel retail knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and data modeling skills.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics, Brightpearl, etc.).
• Understanding of allocation and replenishment concepts.

Preferred:

• Exposure to international retailers.
• Experience with forecasting or AI-driven planning tools.
• Experience translating business workflows into technical requirements.
• Industry exposure in fashion, FMCG, pharmacy, or specialty retail.
