Role Purpose

We are seeking a Senior Mendix Developer with a strong background in Java and Mendix low-code development to design, build, and support scalable enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will combine Mendix platform expertise with traditional programming skills to deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders.

8 years

Relevant Experience

3 years’ experience in Mendix development.
5 years of strong Java development experience.
Exposure in JavaScript would be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities/Kras/Kpis

Translate business requirements into technical designs and Mendix solutions.
Consulting with customers and team members and discuss functionalities.
Working closely with cross-functional teams using agile principles like SCRUM
Collaborating with business partners throughout the application development lifecycle to prototype, create, iterate, and deploy apps.
Helping business developers to create and maintain apps with quality and consistency by using your existing programming experience to share best practices.
Designing scalable application architectures to support new business models and products.
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using the Mendix platform.
Build and manage microflows, nanoflows, domain models, pages, and integrations
Integrate Mendix applications with external systems (REST/SOAP APIs, databases, ERP/CRM systems)
Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and maintainability
Lead code reviews and enforce Mendix best practices and development standards
Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps teams
Mentor and guide junior Mendix developers
Support application deployments, upgrades, and platform enhancements
Partner with the line of business to develop applications with agility.
Extending low-code development tools and applications by coding reusable front-end components and back-end integration modules.
Delivering enterprise applications with minimal traditional coding needed
Responsible for writing and maintaining clean, well-written code, as per industry best practices.
Working with three key elements: form builders, pre-built templates, drag-and-drop visual interface, entity builder.
Get / design specifications / wire-frames and translate them into scalable, high performance, robust applications. Be able to conceptualize and develop prototypes quickly.
Participate in the entire application life cycle, focusing on coding, troubleshooting, debugging (client side, server side, database) & roll back.
Adopt agile development practices. Researching and analyzing internal business processes with the scope of optimizing and automating them.
