Role Description

This is an on-site internship role based in Noida for a Medical Coder Trainee. The responsibilities include assisting with medical coding tasks, accurately reviewing and coding medical records, applying appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes, and ensuring compliance with established standards and guidelines. The trainee will work closely with the coding team to validate and refine codes, and support other documentation-related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in patient record management.

Qualifications

• Basic medical coding knowledge, familiarity with ICD-10, CPT codes, and HCPCS
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to analyze and process medical records
• Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including medical coding tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a team
• Ability to learn new processes and adapt to dynamic workflows
• Completion of or enrollment in a relevant certification program (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or related field is advantageous
