Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Mohali district for evening shift. The Medical Coder will be responsible for accurately coding and documenting medical diagnoses and procedures for billing purposes. Additional responsibilities include verifying medical records for completeness, ensuring compliance with coding protocols, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to resolve discrepancies. The role demands precision, adherence to healthcare regulations, and attention to detail in maintaining accuracy and efficiency in medical documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of proven experience in Medical Coding, with a strong understanding of coding standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Professional certifications such as CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) are highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare processes, insurance protocols, and billing regulations.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a health-related field is considered an advantage.
• Strong command of medical terminology and hands-on experience with Health Information Management (HIM) systems.
