Mechanical Engineer

trak group is partnering with a well-established manufacturer in Cincinnati, OH to find a Mechanical Engineer. This is a high-impact, autonomous role for an experienced engineer ready to take ownership of engineering operations, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Position Details

• Location: Cincinnati, OH, 100% On-Site
• Schedule: Flexible, Monday–Friday, 7:00/8:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM
• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Compensation: $90,000–$110,000/year + full benefits

What You'll Own

• Lead and coordinate engineering activities including design, manufacturing support, and equipment testing
• Oversee capital projects end-to-end including project management, drawing approval, coordination, and job-site supervision
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs, standards, and engineering records
• Draft and review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD
• Evaluate and implement new materials, equipment, and maintenance methods to improve plant operations
• Manage engineering budgets, forecast operating costs, and control spare parts inventory
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Accounting, Purchasing, Quality, and Sales
• Ensure safe working conditions and adherence to engineering and safety standards

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience managing CapEx projects
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong technical drawing and calculation skills
• Self-directed with the ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities
• Effective communicator across all levels of the organization
