Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Design Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Mechanical Design Engineer will develop and refine designs for wire machinery and related mechanical systems, from concept through detailed engineering. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating 3D models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations, selecting materials and components, and ensuring designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability requirements. The role involves collaborating with production, quality, and procurement teams, supporting prototype builds and testing, and troubleshooting design issues during fabrication and commissioning. The engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement of existing products and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering skills, with a solid grasp of engineering fundamentals and applied mechanics.
• Candidates should possess experience in Machine Design and Product Design, including designing mechanical systems, mechanisms, and assemblies for industrial machinery.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., Creo, AutoCAD, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed drafting.
• Relevant skills such as tolerance analysis, material selection, and familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly) are beneficial.
• A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, along with prior experience in machinery or equipment design.
• Ability to interpret standards and specifications, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication and teamwork in a shop-floor environment are required.
