Role Description

The Mechanical Design Engineer - Creo will work on-site in Coimbatore in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and development of mechanical components and systems. Daily responsibilities include creating and modifying 3D models and detailed drawings in Creo, performing design calculations, and supporting product development from concept through to manufacturing. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet performance, safety, and cost requirements, as well as reviewing and improving existing designs based on feedback and test results. The engineer will prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and specifications, and support prototype build, testing, and design validation activities. Participation in design reviews, adherence to applicable standards, and continuous improvement of design processes are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with skills in Design Engineering and Machine Design.
• Proficiency in Product Design, including concept development, detail design, and design for manufacturability.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, specifically Creo (PTC Creo), for 3D modeling and drafting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and relevant industry standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in industrial or product development environments, particularly in mechanical or manufacturing sectors, is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams on-site.
• Familiarity with basic simulation or FEA tools and tolerance analysis is beneficial.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning in line with evolving industry practices.
