About the Team and the Role:

The Warehouse team at Ather is responsible for the end-to-end management of material flow, inventory integrity, and warehouse operational excellence within the Manufacturing department. This team ensures seamless execution of stock audits, real-time system updates in SAP, and the implementation of automation to drive efficiency in material handling and disposition.

This role is for a Material Controller who will serve as the single point of contact for process and system audits, ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy and operational control. You will be responsible for leading cycle counts, managing non-moving inventory, and collaborating cross-functionally to align warehouse operations with organizational SQCDM goals. This Role should be ready to travel across India.

Responsibilities:

Lead periodic cycle counting (quarterly, half-yearly, annual) and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to ensure system movement accuracy across GRN, IQC, and RTV.

Drive timely material disposition handling for QC failures and RTV, ensuring aging inventory beyond 30 days is escalated and controlled.

Monitor daily COGI reports and perform real-time SAP punching to ensure system consumption aligns with completed production.

Manage non-moving inventory through periodic analysis, liquidation follow-ups, and the preparation of quarterly reports for non-BOM and NG materials.

Implement automation and digitisation initiatives to reduce human dependency and optimize warehouse work instructions (SOPs).

Coordinate with Finance and Industrial Engineering for budget requirements, manpower planning, work content studies, and plant layout sign-offs.

Facilitate internal and external warehouse audits, ensuring timely closure of Non-Conformances (NCs) with appropriate CAPA.

Oversee team competency building, safety training, and stakeholder management to align operations with long-term strategic roadmaps.

Experience and Qualifications:

Required Qualifications - B Tech

Experience (no. of years) - 6 to 9 Years

Must Have Competencies:

Implement and manage lean inventory control methodologies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste across the warehouse.

Execute and oversee end-to-end P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes to ensure seamless material movement and system integration.

Lead the adoption of Industry 4.0 standards through the automation and digitization of warehouse operational processes.

Apply advanced stakeholder management techniques to align cross-functional teams and external vendors with warehouse objectives.

Good to have Competencies:

  • Utilize SAP for real-time inventory management, stock location auditing, and transaction accuracy.
  • Use JIRA to track EPICs, tasks, and cross-functional project deliverables related to warehouse swimlanes.
  • Leverage G-Suites for data consolidation, reporting, and collaborative document management.
  • Employ professional presentation and communication skills to report KPIs and audit findings to leadership.
