Master Data Engineer

Job Description: We are looking for a motivated Associate ? Master Data professional to join our team in Mumbai. In this role, you will contribute to creating and maintaining high-quality product and spare part information that supports power plant uptime and strengthens our aftermarket service offering. Responsibilities: Perform efficient spare parts assortment, information compilation, and diagnostics to support repair and maintenance activities. Understand component, sub-assembly, and system-level layouts to develop and document optimized spare part solutions for technical repairs. Conduct internal technical reviews related to Spare Parts, Repair Methods, and Standard Times to ensure consistency and data accuracy. Work with Product Data Management (PDM) systems, Bill of Materials (BOM), and SAP to maintain product data integrity. Analyze and resolve engineering deviations, improvement suggestions, and customer inquiries related to service parts. Collaborate with global colleagues and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data updates and communication. Ability to analyze and prepare power plant maintenance reports for auxiliary systems and components. Experience with maintenance documentation, inspection data, and reporting tools related to plant auxiliaries. Understanding of maintenance intervals, condition monitoring, and data improvement related to auxiliary equipment. Capability to identify optimization opportunities in maintenance data and suggest corrective actions. Knowledge of technical documentation standards and compliance for auxiliary equipment. Requirements: Education: Bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience: 2?4 years of relevant experience in product data, spare parts, or master data management (preferably in the power or energy sector). Strong understanding of mechanical products, BOMs, and technical drawings. Experience working with SAP, PDM systems, and MS Office tools (especially Excel). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and learning mindset. Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, as you will interact with global teams and suppliers.
