Job Description
Role: Marketing Operations Lead (Creative Studio and Digital Agency Oversight)
Why this role exists
Soleos does not need marketing that is “busy.” We need marketing that ships high-quality assets fast, stays consistent, and measurably supports revenue. This role is the production and performance backbone of marketing: you run the creative studio, manage external agencies (website, search visibility, paid campaigns, analytics), maintain operational discipline, and ensure everything is delivered on time with institutional-grade quality.
Reporting and interfaces
· Reports to: Head of Marketing and Growth
· Works closely with: Brand and Public Relations Manager, Strategic Partnerships Lead, Sales and Business Development, Project Delivery, Operations and Maintenance, Leadership
· Manages: Designers, content creators, photographers, videographers, production vendors, and digital agencies
What you will own
You own the system that turns strategy into finished output, at speed, with quality, and with tracking.
1) The marketing production engine
· Build and run the intake-to-delivery process: request intake, prioritisation, service levels, approvals, timelines, and version control.
· Operate like a studio: clear briefs, fast drafts, disciplined reviews, final-quality output.
· Maintain a single approved asset library so sales never uses outdated decks or inconsistent claims.
2) Creative studio and collateral governance
· Own the creation and maintenance of: capability decks, pitch decks, proposal templates, one-pagers, brochures, tender collateral, event collateral, and corporate documents.
· Enforce consistent layouts, typography, tone, and brand standards across every output.
· Reduce rework by building template-first systems and reusable modules (slides, charts, project pages, case study formats).
3) Digital function through agency management
You will not execute digital as an individual contributor; you will run it through agencies with strict governance.
· Own the website as a credibility and conversion asset: structure, content placement, proof placement, conversion paths, and uptime quality.
· Manage search visibility and content distribution programs through agencies.
· Manage performance marketing through agencies where it makes commercial sense.
· Ensure tracking is correct end-to-end: forms, lead routing, attribution, and reporting.
4) Measurement, dashboards, and operational discipline
· Own marketing reporting with sales alignment: lead stages, qualification definitions, routing rules, follow-up discipline, and reporting cadence.
· Publish weekly and monthly scorecards: lead quality, conversion, channel performance, campaign outcomes, and asset delivery status.
· Ensure data hygiene and consistent reporting integrity.
5) Vendor management and cost control
· Manage retainers, scopes, deliverables, and performance reviews for all marketing vendors and agencies.
· Build a vendor ecosystem that can scale output without sacrificing quality.
· Control costs through clear briefs, reusable systems, and disciplined review cycles.
What success looks like
In the first 60 to 90 days
· A working marketing operations system is live: intake, prioritisation, service levels, approvals, tracker, and version control.
· A clean master repository exists: approved decks, templates, case studies, visuals, and proof packs.
· Website and tracking audit completed; lead capture, routing, and reporting are correct.
· Agency governance is operating: weekly reviews, monthly targets, and performance reporting.
In 6 to 12 months
· Sales gets faster, sharper collateral with minimal rework and consistent quality.
· Proposals and decks look institutional and improve trust in meetings.
· Digital programs run with accountability: quality inbound leads, clear attribution, and measurable outcomes.
· Marketing execution becomes predictable: planned work ships on time, without chaos.
What you will build
· A studio-grade production workflow with measurable delivery performance.
· A template system that becomes the company’s standard for external communication.
· A digital governance system that makes agencies accountable to outcomes.
· A single source of truth for assets, claims, and proof.
Ideal background
Must-have
· Eight to twelve years of experience in marketing operations, creative production, or growth operations in business-to-business environments.
· Strong capability managing designers, agencies, and production vendors with high quality standards.
· Demonstrated project management ability in high-volume, high-stakes output environments.
· Comfort with tracking, reporting, and performance governance (even if agencies do execution).
Strong advantages
· Experience in energy, infrastructure, engineering procurement and construction, industrial, or enterprise sectors.
· Experience building template libraries, proposal systems, and brand-consistent collateral frameworks.
· Experience governing websites and lead tracking for business-to-business lead generation.
Skills that matter in this role
· Studio discipline: briefing, reviewing, quality control, and fast turnaround.
· Strong visual judgement and obsession with consistency.
· Operational rigour: trackers, service levels, dashboards, and version control.
· Agency management: targets, accountability, and performance reviews.
· Calm execution under pressure and high stakeholder expectations.
What you can expect from Soleos
· Clear mandate and authority to implement systems, not “coordinate politely.”
· Direct impact on revenue outcomes through proposal quality, sales speed, and digital lead quality.
· High standards and a leadership team that values execution.
