We are looking for a Manufacturing/Process Engineer to support digital process planning and manufacturing execution for powertrain components (engines, transmissions, electric drive units, battery systems).

This role focuses on transforming engineering data into manufacturing-ready processes using digital manufacturing tools, while also supporting shop-floor implementation, line balancing, and plant launches.

  • Digital Process Planning
  • Create and manage Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) from Engineering BOM (EBOM)
  • Develop Bill of Process (BOP) and structure manufacturing sequences
  • Build process trees, define operations, and assign workstations
  • Generate and maintain electronic work instructions for shop-floor use
  • Map tools, fixtures, and resources to manufacturing operations
  • Manufacturing Optimisation
  • Perform line balancing and cycle time analysis to improve throughput
  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify value-added vs non-value-added activities
  • Optimise plant layout and workflow using digital tools
  • Support plant-specific configuration of manufacturing processes
  • Change Management & Collaboration
  • Update MBOM, process flows, and documentation based on engineering changes
  • Work closely with Product Development, IT teams, and plant operations
  • Support system testing (UAT) and digital tool enhancements
  • Maintain manufacturing data in enterprise systems
  • Tooling & Launch Support
  • Define technical requirements for tooling, fixtures, and equipment
  • Support supplier interactions, technical reviews, and equipment buy-off
  • Use virtual manufacturing tools for layout validation and ergonomics
  • Support shop-floor installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up
  • Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic standards

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Industrial / Automotive Engineering
  • 1–4 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Basic understanding of automotive manufacturing processes (assembly/powertrain)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models (GD&T knowledge preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and cross-functional collaboration ability

Preferred (Nice To Have)

  • Experience with Teamcenter / EasyPlan or similar digital manufacturing tools
  • Exposure to EBOM–MBOM transformation and BOP creation
  • Familiarity with time studies and line balancing
  • Knowledge of PFMEA and control plans
  • Exposure to electrified powertrain manufacturing
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
