Job Description:
The Manufacturing Engineer assists in the development, optimization, and implementation of production methodologies, tooling solutions, and manufacturing processes. As an integral member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), this role supports the integration of technical solutions across the product lifecycle and contributes to the development of build strategies, process plans, and production architectures.
The role involves supporting conceptual design activities, ensuring manufacturability, and maintaining program build architecture documentation. The Manufacturing Engineer also assists in resolving technical issues, implementing new engineering principles or advanced technologies, and supporting lean initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
This position requires regular collaboration with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, internal customers, OEM stakeholders, and professional associations to ensure effective product development, process standardization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing production methodologies, tooling requirements, and manufacturing strategies.
- Participate as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to support technical solution integration across program phases.
- Contribute to conceptual design, build architecture development, and configuration maintenance for manufacturing programs.
- Support the creation and execution of manufacturing plans, including Control Plans, Routers, and Manufacturing Orders.
- Analyze and resolve technical production problems, including design-for-manufacturability issues and process bottlenecks.
- Assist in implementing advanced engineering technologies, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Collaborate with suppliers as a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer to ensure process capability, compliance, and producibility.
- Coordinate with OEM customers (e.g., Boeing or other aircraft manufacturers) during product and process development.
- Integrate producibility, quality, and manufacturing requirements into program acquisition and definition phases.
- Serve as a manufacturing representative throughout acquire, define, produce, and support lifecycle phases.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, professional associations, suppliers, and internal/external stakeholders to support program goals.
- Hands-on experience as a Shop-floor Manufacturing Engineer (Shop-side ME) supporting day-to-day production.
- Strong experience preparing and managing Manufacturing Planning Orders (MPOs), including Control Plans, Routers, and Work Instructions.
- Experience working as a Supplier Manufacturing Engineer for OEMs such as Boeing or other aircraft manufacturers.
- Knowledge of producibility and manufacturability integration in early program stages.
- Ability to conceptualize and manage manufacturing build architecture.
- Experience implementing advanced manufacturing technologies and lean enterprise tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills in technical, process, and production environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory & compliance requirements in aerospace manufacturing environments.
