Job Description – Manual Tester (4‑Month Contract)


Location: Sydney or Melbourne (Hybrid)

Contract: 4 Months + Possible Extension

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – mix of in‑office and remote work


Role Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Manual Tester to join our team on a 4‑month contract, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting test cases across web‑based applications. You will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure high‑quality software delivery within an Agile environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in manual testing with hands‑on test case creation and execution.
  • Web application testing experience is essential.
  • Experience in the Superannuation domain or financial services.
  • Agile delivery experience is mandatory.
  • Ability to identify, analyse, and troubleshoot defects effectively.
  • Experience with test management and defect‑tracking tools such as JIRA, Xray or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to document test results clearly and concisely.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and testing best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
