Job Title: Manual Tester

Location: Mumbai (Onsite)

Experience: 2+ Years

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our team in. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing manual test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and functional specifications to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Execute test cases and document test results clearly.
  • Identify, report, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or similar tools.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  • Participate in test planning, test execution, and test reporting activities.
  • Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing.
  • Ensure software meets quality standards before release.
  • Contribute to improving testing processes and documentation.

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in Manual Software Testing.
  • Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience in writing test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.
  • Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, etc.).
  • Knowledge of functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries for database validation.
  • Exposure to API testing using Postman.
  • Experience with test management tools like TestRail or Zephyr.
  • Basic understanding of automation testing is a plus.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
