Job Title: Manual Test Engineer

Location: Bangalore (Hybrid)

Experience: 3–5 Years

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred

About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating software applications, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality product releases through effective testing practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to derive test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute Functional, System, Integration, Regression, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Design, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect-tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide QA feedback.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and testing best practices.
• Support release validation and post-deployment verification activities.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT Testing.
• Ability to create test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and defect reports.
• Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience testing web-based and enterprise applications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
  

Good to Have

• Experience with API Testing using Postman.
• Knowledge of SQL and Database Testing.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of Automation Testing concepts and frameworks.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• ISTQB certification is an added advantage.
