Job Description: Manager - US Accounting (US GAAP- 6-15 + Years)

- Location: Mohali (Onsite)
- Working Days: 5 days a week (1 working Saturday per month)
- Timing: 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM (to align with North American time zones)

Roles and Responsibilities
- End-to-End Financial Management: Oversee the complete Record-to-Report (R2R) cycle, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures.
- Core Accounting Operations: Manage and supervise daily Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring efficient cash flow management.
- Reconciliations: Perform and review complex Bank Reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
- Tax Compliance: Organize and file federal, state, and local income tax documents. Specifically manage 1099-K reporting and other US-specific tax filings.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly brief management on the company’s financial position; assess business transactions and prepare accurate reports on findings.
- Audit & Internal Controls: Conduct periodic audits to guarantee accuracy in expenses and savings; develop and implement effective accounting policies and processes.
- Strategic Planning: Coordinate with teams on income tax research and US Accounting planning; contribute significantly to budgeting and forecasting procedures.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all financial practices remain up-to-date with industry changes and evolving US GAAP regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP and the US Tax landscape.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with NetSuite and QuickBooks is mandatory. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) is required.
- Process Knowledge: Strong command over End-to-End R2R processes and internal financial controls.
- Tax Compliance: Proven experience in managing 1099-K forms and US-specific tax research.
- Soft Skills: * Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills to interact with North American clientele.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-oriented environment.
