What Will You Do?

Strategic Sourcing

Lead Category Lead for Casting, Forging & Machining Categories.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with corporate goals for cost, quality and risk management.
Early engagement for supporting proposals on pricing
Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure synergy, cost-effectiveness and value creation
Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and risks for strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
Analyse categories spend data to identify savings opportunities and optimize procurement performance.
Cost reduction for the assigned category in line with Global initiatives

ESG :Drive ESG implementation for the Category within the organizations as well as with suppliers.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Leading India Localization projects from perspective of Category, driving localization/alternate sourcing as per requirement of projects
Implementing best practices for digitization and process efficiency.
Support cost estimation and sourcing decisions during product development.
Monitor supplier performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Global Sourcing

Coordinate with Global Category Managers and Business Units for Supplier Alignment
Bid Support to Global teams.
Negotiate global contracts ensuring competitive commercial terns and compliance.

Supplier Relationship Management

Building Strategic Partnership with suppliers to ensure reliability & innovation.
Negotiate contracts and long-term agreements to secure favourable terms.
Supplier Risk & Relationship management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with local and global stake holders including Proposals, Projects, Localization Leader, Local & Global Management.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.
Provide regular reports on category performance, savings & Localization projects.
Any other work as assigned by management.

Your Experience Should Be...

Bachelors in engineering / technology in (Mechanical/Production/Metallurgical) Engineering, Post Graduate qualification (MBA/PGDM) preferred
7 to 12 years of experience in sourcing and/or project management within heavy engineering, automotive,or capital goods industries.
Good knowledge of Casting, Forging, Sheet Metal.
Deep understanding of make-to-order manufacturing, especiallyheavy castings (sand, investment),forgings (open/closed die), and precision machining.
Proven experience in supplier development, localization, and industrialization.
Strong project management skills with proficiency in tools like MS Project, Excel, or ERP-based trackingsystems.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Background in a compressor manufacturing company would be appreciated.
Experience working with global teams and suppliers.
Familiarity with cost modelling, APQP, and PPAP processes.
