• Job Summary

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory regulations, and effective financial control systems. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting activities, supervising team members, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting,

- Planning, budgeting, and forecasting

- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Ensure accuracy of general ledger and financial records

- Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting

- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to management

2. Compliance & Taxation

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws including GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements

- Handle GST returns, audits, and reconciliations

- Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits

- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations

3. Accounts Operations

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes

- Manage bank reconciliations and financial transactions

- Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments

- Maintain proper documentation and records

4. Team Management

- Lead and supervise the accounts team

- Assign tasks, review work, and ensure deadlines are met

- Train and mentor junior accounting staff

5. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures

- Strengthen internal controls to prevent errors and fraud

- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency

6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

- Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities

- Support management with financial planning and decision-making

7. Key Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting

- Expertise in GST, TDS, and Indian taxation

- Advanced Excel skills

- Analytical and problem-solving ability

- Leadership and team management skills

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

- Experience in Accounts Management, Ledger Reconciliation, and Taxation Compliance

- Proficiency in Financial Reporting, Data Analysis, and Cash Flow Management

- Knowledge of Audit Procedures, Regulatory Guidelines, and Risk Management

- Advanced expertise in accounting software and financial management tools (e.g., Tally, ERP systems)

- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills

- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders

• Qualifications

- Master's / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com /M.com)

- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred

• Experience

- 5–10 years of relevant accounting experience

- Minimum 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role

- Experience in the energy sector or a similar industry is an added advantage
