Job Overview

This role is responsible for effective management of the HOC Navigators Compliance and Risk Programs ; ensuring organizational compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Assists with development of and oversees implementation of the annual compliance and risk plans. Ensures effective work processes and structure to achieve results. Achieves pillar goals in the areas of people/culture, quality/safety/compliance, service, growth, and finance. Leads in accordance with TriHealth Way of Leading, SERVE values, and ALWAYS behaviors. Reports to the Chief Quality & Compliance Officer. Serves as a member of the HOC management team and compliance committee.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree In healthcare or related field (Required)

Master's Degree (Preferred)

4 - 5 years Experience in progressive healthcare leadership (Required)

Knowledge of CMS Hospice Conditions of Participation and related state and federal regulations. Data collection, analysis and reporting. Computer literate and ability to use Microsoft tools and Epic.

Job Responsibilities

Achieves Results: Monitors, communicates, and manages compliance and risk performance to ensure organizational goals are achieved. Oversees development and implementation of training related to compliance and risk. Develops effective processes and leverages tools and technology to ensure high-reliability standard work. Effectively engages leaders, team members, and providers to continuously improve performance. Collaborates and coordinates with internal functions including IS, data analytics, quality, education, and billing; and external functions including legal, fiscal intermediaries, and auditing agencies.

Audit Plan: Oversees an effective audit plan to ensure all documentation is technically accurate and supports billing for the appropriate level of care. Oversees requests for Additional Development Requests (ADRs) and any other medical record-related requests.

Risk Management: Contributes to annual risk assessment. Implements, executes, and maintains the Risk Management Plan. Proactively identifies and mitigates risk vulnerabilities, monitors risk areas, and responds swiftly to resolve risks.

Compliance: Contributes to development of the HOC Compliance Plan. Implements, executes, and maintains the HOC Compliance Plan to ensure compliance with all rules and regulations, applicable laws and accreditation standards. Ensures any new programs and changes to existing programs comply with all rules and regulations, laws, and standards. Participates in Joint Commission readiness by ensuring policies and practices are consistent and compliant. Effectively leads documentation specialists and medical records teams.
