Job Description
A Purchase Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring raw materials and components needed for manufacturing transformers (like cores, coils, insulation materials, oil, bushings, etc.).

- Vendor Management
- Identify and evaluate suppliers for materials like copper, CRGO steel, insulation paper, transformer oil, etc.
- Maintain relationships with reliable vendors.
- Procurement Planning
- Coordinate with production and planning teams to understand material requirements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
- Cost Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Focus on cost reduction without compromising quality.
- Inventory Control
- Monitor stock levels and avoid overstocking or shortages.
- Work closely with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Quality Assurance Coordination
- Ensure purchased materials meet required technical specifications and standards.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Handle purchase orders (POs), invoices, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure adherence to ISO or industry standards
