The opportunity is with UPES, Dehradun.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corporate communications strategies: Create comprehensive communication plans to effectively convey the organisation's messages to both internal and external audiences. Ensure consistency in messaging across various communication channels.
- Public relations management: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, bloggers, and influencers. Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and proactively pitch stories to generate positive media coverage. Prepare and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Crisis management: Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to manage and mitigate reputational risks effectively. Provide timely and accurate responses to address any negative publicity or potential crises. Act as a spokesperson for the organisation when necessary.
- Internal communication: Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the organisation's goals and initiatives. Create and distribute internal newsletters, memos, and other communications.
- Content creation: Produce high-quality written content for various communication channels, including blog posts, articles, and presentations. Ensure content is compelling, accurate, and consistent with the organisation's brand voice and messaging.
- Stakeholder engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, investors, customers, community organisations, and government agencies.
- Monitor media and industry trends: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and media coverage related to the organisation. Conduct regular media monitoring and analysis to identify opportunities and address potential issues.
- Measurement and reporting: Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communication and PR initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs). Generate reports on media coverage and other relevant metrics. Use insights to improve communication strategies continuously.
Candidate Requirments
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and adapt communication style for different audiences.
- Excellent media relations skills, with a network of media contacts.
- Crisis management experience and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
- Knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
