Role Description The Manager – Electrical Design is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for leading the design and development of electrical systems for transformers, including preparing detailed design documents, electrical schematics, and layout drawings for power generation, transmission, and distribution applications. The Manager will oversee design reviews, ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as production, quality, and procurement to support efficient project execution. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding the design team, resolving technical issues, optimizing designs for performance and cost, and supporting customer-specific requirements and technical discussions. The role also involves monitoring project timelines, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and tools.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Engineering and Electricity fundamentals relevant to power systems.
• Candidates should possess experience in Electrical Design and Power Distribution for transformer or similar heavy electrical equipment applications.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of Electrical Maintenance practices to support reliable operation and design for maintainability.
• Candidates should possess the ability to interpret standards, codes, and specifications applicable to electrical power equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical design within power equipment or transformer manufacturing, including team leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
• Proficiency with relevant CAD/design tools and familiarity with engineering documentation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and safety considerations.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and customers.
