About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Manager, BI & Analytics, to drive third-party seller success by enabling optimal use of tools, resources, and support to improve performance on the Walmart Marketplace. The Manager will lead insights generation, performance measurement, strategic analytics, and AI-driven decision support for our marketplace business. This role will be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable recommendations, leveraging advanced analytics, predictive modeling, Generative AI, and automation to drive marketplace growth, seller success, customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, advanced analytical and AI capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and experience working in fast-paced marketplace, e-commerce, or technology-driven environments.


About the Team

The Walmart India Cross Border team enables Indian brands, manufacturers, MSMEs, and other sellers to expand globally by listing and selling their products across Walmart’s international online marketplaces. This allows them to grow their business as cross-border sellers on Walmart Marketplace, reaching a dynamic audience of over 120 million U.S. consumers each month.


What you’ll do

  • Marketplace Analytics & Insights: Develop and manage analytics frameworks to measure marketplace performance across key business and operational metrics. Identify emerging trends, growth opportunities, and risks through advanced analytics, and provide actionable insights that drive marketplace strategy and performance improvement.
  • Business Intelligence & Reporting: Own the BI ecosystem by developing executive dashboards, scalable reporting solutions, and KPI frameworks. Drive reporting automation, data governance, and metric standardization to ensure consistent, accurate, and accessible business intelligence.
  • AI Adoption & Optimization: Drive the adoption of AI, Generative AI, and advanced analytics to enhance forecasting, automate insight generation, improve decision velocity, and optimize marketplace, seller, and customer outcomes.
  • Seller & Customer Analytics: Generate insights on seller and customer behavior across the lifecycle to improve marketplace selection, seller effectiveness, customer engagement, retention, and overall marketplace experience.
  • Strategic Decision Support: Enable data-driven business planning by evaluating marketplace initiatives, pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, assortment investments, and seller programs. Deliver forecasting, scenario modeling, and ad-hoc analyses to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Partner with Business Development, Category Management, Product, Finance, Operations, and Global Analytics teams to align on priorities, establish performance measures, deliver analytical solutions, and influence strategic outcomes through effective communication and data storytelling.
  • Team mentorship: Build and lead a high-performing analytics team/ develop associates on the larger team by mentoring talent, establishing best practices in analytics and data governance, and fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.



What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 6–10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Science, Strategy, or related analytical roles
  • Experience working in marketplace, e-commerce, digital commerce, retail, or technology businesses
  • Strong SQL expertise and experience querying large datasets
  • Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience leveraging AI/ML, predictive analytics, or Generative AI tools to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Experience communicating insights to executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience with Python, R, or advanced statistical analysis tools/ data modelling tools
  • Knowledge of experimentation methodologies and A/B testing.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications and predictive analytics, Dashboard Development, Data Warehousing
  • Proven track record of executing successful programs that drive business growth
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment with cross functional teams
