The Role:-
Razorpay is seeking a motivated and experienced professional to lead the engagement and drive new product initiatives at the platform level. The incumbent will work closely with a broad set of cross- functional counterparts to build, iterate and refine new Issuing product/platform initiatives & business solutions in partnership with Banks and networks. The ability to ideate solutions for client business objectives, develop requirements, and launch them effectively is a key factor to success in this role. The ideal person for this role should have a passion for
technology and payments, a strong product and technical background, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to drive results while working independently within a complex environment. The position also calls for a proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams while building strong relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
Responsibilities of this role would mainly include the following:
● Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in Banks across levels
● Track the progress of ongoing projects and support timely execution by removing roadblocks
● Identify new opportunities to collaborate
● Have API knowledge and drive the coordination with bank & Internal engineering teams.
● Ensure Razorpay remains top-of-the-mind for the leadership of all the partner networks and
receives preference in launching and/or developing new solutions jointly
● Contribute to the Razorpay product team’s development strategy
● Be able to create documents detailing clear, thorough and detailed business cases, functional
requirements, process flows and go-to-market plans.
● Collaborate with multiple external and internal stakeholders during the execution
● Develop subject matter expertise, take ownership of products and services and collaborate with other teams to optimize product operations.
● Combine business and technical acumen with excellent communication skills and relationship
management skills to clearly understand and articulate the value of enhancements to key stakeholders
● Demonstrate leadership principles by communicating openly, collaborating effectively, enabling and inspiring others, and excelling with partners.
● Provide status, action plans and recommendations to senior leadership on an ongoing basis
Mandatory Qualifications:-
● 5 to 6 years of professional experience in the Payments, Banking, or Fintech domains.
● Educational background in Engineering (BE) or MCA.
●Strong functional expertise in the Payments domain with a specific focus on Acquiring Systems and Cards.
● Deep technical understanding of ISO 8583 messaging standards and API architecture.
● Proven ability to develop detailed business cases and functional requirement documents (FRDs).
● Exceptional analytical, project management, and executive communication skills for cross-level stakeholder relationship management.
● AI Competency: Demonstrated ability to evaluate, adopt, and leverage AI-driven tools or
methodologies to optimize product operations, accelerate business casing, and refine technical
requirement mapping.
● Proficiency in project/program management platforms and API
