About This Position

The seasonal Lake Maintenance Worker assists with construction, grounds maintenance, sanitation, and lake maintenance for the lake area, parks, access roads, trails, and campgrounds. Employment lasts 6 months and may be terminated earlier if services are no longer required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Or be a current high school student
  • At least 16 years of age
  • Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Responsibilities

  • Perform custodial duties in all areas of parks
  • Remove full trash can bags, place in dumpster, and replace with a new liner
  • Collect ground litter and place in trash receptacles
  • Wash and clean public rest rooms
  • Remove ashes and fire residues from fireplaces, fire rings, and charcoal grills
  • Operate power equipment and hand tools
  • Submit service interval information to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner

Necessary Skills

  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors, potentially during inclement weather and intense heat
  • Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
  • Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug test
