Job Title: Maintenance Manager ? Steel Plant Location: Dhenkanal, Odisha Experience: Minimum 15 years About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations in our steel plant. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise and proven leadership in maintaining complex steel manufacturing units such as Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, Steel Melting Shop (SMS), and Rolling Mills. This role requires a hands-on leader who can ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, and efficiency while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the plant (Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, SMS, and Rolling Mills). Lead and supervise maintenance teams, ensuring effective resource utilization and skill development. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and increase equipment reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve major equipment breakdowns, ensuring timely restoration of operations. Monitor plant equipment performance and implement improvements for productivity, safety, and energy efficiency. Coordinate with production, quality, and safety teams to align maintenance activities with plant requirements. Manage spare parts inventory, vendor coordination, and cost optimization. Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and safety regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt best practices in steel plant maintenance. Requirements Minimum 15 years of experience in maintenance within a steel plant environment. Strong knowledge of maintenance practices for Sinter Plant, Blast Furnace, SMS, and Rolling Mills (must-have). Proven experience in leading and managing large maintenance teams. Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong understanding of safety standards, compliance, and quality systems in steel plant operations.
