Job Role: Mainframe Developer
Job Location: Trivandrum
Experience Required: 3+ years
Notice Period: Immediate to 15days
Job Summary
We are looking for a Mainframe Developer with 3–5 years of experience to support development and testing environments in a mainframe ecosystem. The role involves batch job setup, environment management, and collaboration with multiple development and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth testing and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with multiple development teams to set up new jobs based on client requirements.
- Support batch and online job setup in Development and UAT environments.
- Perform daily monitoring of batch jobs scheduled in the test environment.
- Ensure test environments are stable and available for development teams.
- Collaborate with DBA, Mainframe, and support teams to set up and maintain test environments.
- Replicate production instances in test environments as required.
- Handle client queries related to test environments and batch job execution.
- Manage multiple tasks and small projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
- Provide support to other team members during project execution and critical events.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong experience in Mainframe environment.
- Hands-on programming experience with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL.
- Experience with ISPF and VSAM data management.
- Knowledge of OPC/OPCE scheduling tools.
- Experience with SELCOPY / Syncsort utilities.
