Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, and JCL for enhancement and support projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in analyzing requirements, developing enhancements, writing unit test cases, and working on complex SQL queries in DB2 environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze business requirements and perform impact analysis for enhancements.
• Develop and support Mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, and JCL.
• Write, modify, and optimize SQL queries and DB2 stored procedures.
• Prepare and execute unit test cases and support SIT/UAT activities.
• Handle production support issues, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Work on file processing, batch jobs, and scheduling activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for deployment and issue resolution.
• Ensure coding standards and documentation are maintained.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in COBOL, DB2, and JCL.
• Good knowledge of VSAM, CICS, and file handling concepts.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL queries, joins, cursors, and DB2 performance tuning.
• Experience in enhancement and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of unit testing and test case preparation.
• Exposure to production support and incident management.
• Good debugging and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Banking/Insurance domain.
• Exposure to scheduling tools like Control-M/CA7.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.
