Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Lung Cancer team as a Lung Pathway Specialist Nurse for our nodule service to support the implementation of faster Cancer Diagnosis Standards and monitor patients who are on the Nodule/Lung Cancer pathway. This is a permanent role with an exciting opportunity to test new ways of working to make a difference with faster diagnosis and to deliver quality patient care.
The post holder will work with the Lung Cancer team, supporting patients on the lung cancer pathway in diagnostic and treatment services.
The post holder will work mainly with patients where lung cancer has been excluded.
The post holder will be expected to provide specialist knowledge and care to the patient and their carers
The post holder will lead on the provision of patient support for modifiable risk factors to include tobacco addiction, movement and nutrition advice.

The post holder will work with the Lung Cancer team, supporting patients on the lung cancer pathway in diagnostic and treatment services.
The post holder will work mainly with patients where lung cancer has been excluded.
The post holder will be expected to provide specialist knowledge and care to the patient and their carers
- They will support colleagues in the effective management of patients in their specialist area who require a high level of judgement, discretion and decision making within an inpatient or outpatient setting
- To perform specialist assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty who will have complex and/or acute or chronic conditions
