We are seeking a highly motivated Lighting Design Specialist to join our Global Services team in Gurgaon. In this role, you will partner with architects, designers, and project stakeholders to design, price, and help win some of Lutron’s most iconic projects worldwide. Responsibilities

  • Develop lighting control and shading solutions for commercial/residential/hospitality projects during specification, estimation, and post sales stage
  • Provide technical solutions support for presales and post-sales for Lutron’s projects across all global markets.
  • Create lighting layouts, fixture specifications, and control zoning plans.
  • Perform lighting simulations (DIALux/AGi32) and prepare BOQs + design packages.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and internal teams to resolve design queries.
  • Support client presentations, mock‑ups, and technical reviews.
  • Ensure designs meet project requirements, codes, and brand standards
  • Analyze and understand electrical/lighting/architectural layouts and any other construction documents to provide appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate with global sales and project managers to design and quote superior solutions.
  • Meet the project timelines
  • Assist in project coordination for key specification accounts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum aggregate of 60%
  • 4-7 years of experience in architectural lighting design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, DIALux/AGi32, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of lighting fundamentals, optics, and controls.
  • Preference for experience with lighting control systems (e.g., Lutron total light management systems, DALI)
  • Preference for knowledge of green building standards (LEED/WELL).
  • Experience working with global clients, consultants, or multidisciplinary teams
