Job Description

Position Summary

The Mid-Level Software Developer in Test (SDET) supports enterprise software quality initiatives through development and execution of automated testing solutions. This role works closely with software engineers and QA teams to validate application functionality, improve regression coverage, and contribute to quality assurance processes within Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend services
Execute functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing activities
Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to identify defects and improve product quality
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies
Support automated testing integration within CI/CD pipelines
Document test cases, testing procedures, and quality findings
Assist with troubleshooting application issues and validating bug fixes
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks and processes
Support quality reporting and test coverage analysis

Education & Experience

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in software testing or automation engineering
Background: Experience supporting automated testing initiatives in Agile software delivery environments
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline

Must Have Skills

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
Basic to intermediate programming experience in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
Experience with API and UI testing
Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to document testing results and communicate defects effectively
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
