Lead/Senior Lead DevOps Engineer

The Lead DevOps Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping, leading and implementing the cloud deployment and automation frameworks that power Synamedia products across AWS and Google Cloud. The successful candidate will ensure high availability and resilience of CI/CD pipelines and cloud applications while providing organizational expertise on best practices for cloud operations and cloud security. Key Responsibilities: Leadership: Provide cross-team leadership and direction setting on areas of subject matter expertise. Collaboration: Collaborate with the product team stakeholders on needs and requirements Deployment Frameworks: Maintain and enhance a cross-product Terraform and Ansible framework for automating cloud deployments across AWS and Google Cloud. CI/CD Pipelines: Operate, monitor, and improve a cross-platform CI/CD pipeline ensuring scalability, reliability, and availability. Cloud Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert on cloud infrastructure, practices, and security across the organization, ensuring compliance with security and governance standards. Collaboration: Partner with product engineering teams to optimize cloud usage, improve automation, and streamline development workflows. Innovation: Research, evaluate, and recommend new tools and processes to improve cloud deployments and DevOps maturity. Incident Management: Troubleshoot infrastructure and pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to development and operations. On Call: Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours / weekend production incidents. Required Skills and Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with successfully developing infrastructure provisioning and frameworks and operating in highly resilient cloud-based applications Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Note: While the role is primarily focused on technical aspects, there may be occasional instances where the consultant needs to work outside of regular business hours to address critical issues or meet project deadlines.
