About The Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead UX Designer to lead the design of next-generation embedded and connected product experiences.
This is a player-coach role requiring a balance of UX strategy, hands-on design execution, client engagement, and team leadership. You will own the UX workstream, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality design delivery across complex hardware and software ecosystems.

This is a player-coach role requiring a balance of UX strategy, hands-on design execution, client engagement, and team leadership. You will own the UX workstream, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality design delivery across complex hardware and software ecosystems.
What You’ll Do
UX Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of UX designers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Establish design direction and ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Review work, provide feedback, and coach designers to deliver high-quality user experiences.
- Remove delivery blockers and drive successful execution.
- Lead the end-to-end UX process from discovery through detailed interaction design.
- Create user journeys, workflows, interaction models, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Design intuitive experiences across embedded devices, firmware interfaces, and companion applications.
- Balance business goals, technical constraints, and user needs to deliver practical design solutions.
- Design experiences for products that combine hardware, firmware, and software.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Firmware, Software Engineering, and Industrial Design teams.
- Understand platform limitations and translate them into intuitive user experiences.
- Design for constrained interfaces, multi-device ecosystems, and connected experiences.
- Serve as the primary UX representative for the client.
- Lead design discussions, workshops, and reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Present design recommendations and influence product direction.
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and delivery excellence.
- Drive UX planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Work with Product Managers and Engineering to manage dependencies and delivery timelines.
- Translate business objectives into actionable UX strategies.
- Ensure design decisions align with long-term product vision.
Mandatory
- 10–15 years of UX Design experience, with significant experience leading enterprise product design initiatives.
- Strong hands-on UX design skills with expertise in Figma, interaction design, prototyping, and visual communication.
- Experience designing embedded products, including firmware, kiosks, printers, POS systems or other hardware/software ecosystems.
- Proven experience leading UX teams while remaining actively involved in design execution.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to confidently present and defend design decisions.
- Experience collaborating with Product Management, Engineering, Firmware, QA, and Business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in enterprise or B2B product environments.
- Experience with AI-enabled or intelligent product experiences.
- Experience building scalable design systems for embedded or enterprise products.
- Consulting or digital transformation experience.
