Position Overview

Lead Telecom Designer Conducts telecom design and drafting under Principal/Lead Engineer or Principal Designer supervision mainly for Topside facilities in FPSO/FLNG or Offshore facilities.

The ideal candidate for the position will have a strong background in Offshore Oil & Gas Industry, be an expert in Topsides Telecom Design, and Hands-on experience in Instrument Design.

The strategic focus will also include providing support to Hanwha Ocean engineering teams based in USA/Netherland/Singapore/India and elsewhere as necessary including Conceptual, pre-FEED and FEED for projects in the offshore area in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Under Head of Discipline, Principal /Lead Engineer or Principal Designer's supervision,
• Conduct Instrument Design and Drafting and 3D Modelling
• Develop Instrument Design Database in Engineering Management Platform.
• Participation on 30%, 60%, 90% model review and comment closure
• Review Vendor Documents - Telecom Deliverables
• Ensure as-built Telecom deliverables
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry
• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical / Instrumentation / Chemical
• Minimum 5 years’ experience at FPSO contractor or Offshore/Onshore EPC contractor
• Well Versed with Design Tool such as AutoCAD, AVEVA / E3D/ PDMS.
• Fluent in English, with strong oral and written communication skills
