About the Company This role manages and supports the Northern Hemisphere platforms environment across on-premise and Microsoft Azure. The engineer delivers infrastructure services, ensures environment stability, and maintains strong security and compliance standards. The role blends BAU support, project delivery, automation, and cross-platform engineering. About the Role A short paragraph summarizing the key role responsibilities. Responsibilities Deliver infrastructure support across Windows, RHEL, Storage, Virtualization, IaC, and Cloud platforms. Design and provision infrastructure services to meet business needs. Manage storage operations, including automated reporting, maintenance, failover tests, and upgrades. Lead patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance. Support incidents, problems, and change requests with focus on service improvement. Maintain lifecycle management for all infrastructure components and highlight risks for end-of-life systems. Ensure effective data center and cloud capacity management. Maintain monitoring and alerting across all infrastructure layers. Provide technical documentation for configuration, processes, and services. Core Delivery Responsibilities Build strong working relationships across global and local teams. Ensure all changes follow processes, including PRR, CMDB updates, and CAB reviews. Optimize cost and manage third-party vendors to improve operational efficiency. Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support. Support branch disaster recovery requirements for both drills and real events. Apply service management discipline and escalate issues on time. Technical Responsibilities Provide deep technical support across Windows, Linux, Azure Cloud, Storage, SQL, Networking, and Virtualization. Use automation tools including PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, Terraform, and Ansible. Manage code repositories and CI/CD pipelines. Act as an escalation point for service desk, desktop, and application teams. Ensure infrastructure adheres to global security policies. Team and Organizational Responsibilities Mentor Desktop and Dealing Room Support teams when required. Participate in cross-skilling programs to reduce key-man risk. Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Ensure all health and safety, organizational policies, and compliance tasks are completed on time. Support a positive team environment and maintain work-life balance. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in a similar role. Azure Cloud engineering, including hybrid connectivity. Windows and Linux administration. Infrastructure automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM Templates, and Terraform. Ansible automation experience. Storage technologies such as NetApp. SQL or PostgreSQL knowledge. Networking and communication fundamentals. Virtualization and IaC experience. CI/CD and code repository management. Ability to document infrastructure and processes clearly. Required Skills Azure ARM IT Infrastructure Microsoft Windows Server Preferred Skills Azure certifications such as AZ-104.
