Job Description Job Title ? Lead Software Engineer (mainframe Developer) The Purpose of This Role Require Mainframe Developer for Software Development for Workplace investment (WI) technology team will be responsible designing and driving implementation of applications/ framework using Mainframe, this technology group provides superior development and maintenance support to the overall Fidelity WI organization. The Value You Deliver Analyst Support and small development on platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data. Involved in Application-level Analysis, Impact study Assessing and researching current implementations of the platform and determining the course of action required to elevate the platform to meet customer needs. Taking the business requirements coupled with existing architecture to set a technical vision for features and major components and clearly articulating the evolutionary steps to achieve it Working with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, to troubleshoot issues and to tune the environment for optimal performance and uptime. Collaborating with peers and management on process improvement ideas, policy and procedure enhancements, and opportunities to improve our customer's service experience. Participating in code review and unit testing and providing support on issues in non-prod or production The Skills That Are Key To This Role Must have less than 12 yrs experience in Your knowledge in mainframe technologies like JCL, COBOL programming, CICS, DB2, ENDEVOUR. Your experience in writing stored procedure DB2/PL/SQL programming function, trigger Your experience with data base such as Oracle, Sql server, Sybase Your experience in Agile methodology and tool set such as CI/CD, GIT, Maven and JIRA Your experience in Agile methodology and tool set such as CI/CD, GIT, Maven and JIRA Exposure to cloud is advantage Ability to identify areas of risk or potential problems and take action to mitigate them. Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions. Ability to build communication and rapport with partners, stakeholders. Ability to take initiative, define vision for betterment of products, and execute at high level of quality. The platform serves plan sponsors in the configuration of their DC plans and operates in a mixed-technology environment (Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle) across multiple tiers (web server, app server, DB). The Expertise we?re looking for Education And Experience Bachelor?s degree in computer science or similar subject. <12 years of experience in information technology. Financial services experience, preferably in Brokerage Domain Certification in relevant technologies is preferred. Skills/Knowledge And Experience Operating Systems : Mainframe Languages : Mainframe ( work experience is must ), Good to have understanding of distributed technology.
