Your Role As a Lead for RRC Protocol Development & Design, you will play a critical role in architecting and optimizing advanced wireless communication protocols for next-generation networks. You will lead the design and development of RRC layers for 5G and Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), ensuring compliance with global standards and delivering high-performance solutions for UE modem protocol stacks. In this role, you will: Lead the design, development, and optimization of RRC protocols for 5G/NTN systems. Architect and implement protocol stack components aligned with 3GPP specifications. Conduct end-to-end design reviews, performance analysis, and enhancements for RRC layers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Layer 2/Layer 3, PHY, MAC) for seamless integration. Define and maintain protocol specifications, design documents, and test plans. Analyze and resolve complex issues related to mobility management, session handling, and signaling. Incorporate NTN-specific features into RRC design in collaboration with system architects. Mentor and guide junior engineers to foster technical excellence. Stay updated on 3GPP releases, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Participate in customer discussions, technical workshops, and contribute to roadmap planning. Your Profile 12+ years of experience in wireless communication systems with strong expertise in RRC protocol development and design. Deep understanding of RRC protocol architecture, signaling flows, and state machines. Hands-on experience in 5G NR and NTN protocol development for UE protocol stack. Strong knowledge of 3GPP specifications (Rel-15 onwards). Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems and protocol debugging tools. Familiarity with simulation environments and test frameworks for protocol validation. Exposure to multi-threaded programming, real-time operating systems, and performance optimization. Knowledge of L2/L3 protocols and interaction with RRC. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Bachelor?s/Master?s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field. Passion for innovation and ability to drive technical excellence in complex projects.
