Role – Lead Projects - Credit Cards
Function/Department – Credit Cards
Location - Mumbai
Job Purpose:
The role entails for Implementation of commercial card solution and new payment network integration, evaluation of solutions and drive towards implementation. Support the downstream and upstream impacted systems / processes. The role will closely collaborate with the Business, Technology, Operations and critical Risk Management functions. This role collaborate with different teams to drive effective customer servicing and deepening.
Primary Responsibilities:
'Role Overview
Responsible for end-to-end delivery of credit card projects, including new product launches, enhancements, and regulatory initiatives. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable solutions, ensuring seamless execution across systems, stakeholders, and partners while maintaining strong governance, cost efficiency, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Project & Program Management
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from conceptualization to implementation across credit card platforms (e.g., TSYS PRIME, VisionPLUS).
- Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and ensure delivery within timelines and budget.
- Manage dependencies across technology, operations, networks, and external partners.
- Ensure strong governance, risk tracking, and proactive issue resolution.
- Business & Solution Design
- Evaluate business cases and define optimal solution approaches aligned with business objectives.
- Translate business requirements into application, operational, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify solutions within the existing ecosystem or evaluate external integrations for best fit.
- Recommend innovative product features and enhancements to maintain competitive positioning.
- Requirements Management
- Prepare comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) covering business, regulatory, operational, and risk aspects.
- Define detailed functional requirements for new product launches and enhancements.
- Establish non-functional requirements including system performance, scalability, response times, and superior customer experience (UI/UX).
- Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance) and external partners (Networks, FinTechs, Vendors).
- Drive alignment across teams to ensure smooth execution and timely decision-making.
- Act as a single point of contact for project communication and governance.
- Implementation & Testing
- Oversee implementation of new products, enhancements, and regulatory changes.
- Ensure successful certification with payment networks where applicable.
- Conduct/ Facilitate end-to-end testing (SIT/UAT) by liasing with different testing teams and validate that deliverables meet business requirements.
- Ensure production readiness and smooth go-live.
- Production Support & Issue Management
- Own and drive resolution of production issues impacting customers or business.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track issues to closure and ensure minimal recurrence.
- Conduct impact analysis and ensure appropriate customer remediation.
- Innovation & Industry Alignment
- Stay updated with evolving payment trends and emerging technologies (Tokenization, QR Payments, Digital Channels, etc.).
- Collaborate with networks and FinTech partners to bring innovative solutions and use cases.
- Leverage market insights, data, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Cost Optimization & Efficiency
- Provide optimized solutions with minimal ecosystem changes to reduce cost and implementation time.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources and streamlined execution.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Support other program implementations which has a dependency on Core application or Credit Card life cycle
- Recommend process changes in order to improve service efficiency and quality for Credit Card life cycle
- Facilitate a customer centric channels to provide seemless customer experience.
- Support Business in implementing solutions where Tech / Process solution is required
Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities
- Own the projects implemented and drive towards closure
- Enable teams to drive projects / enhancments / automation by providing necessary support
Qualifications: Graduates / Post Graduates
Industries : Retail Banking, Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Payments
Experience: (3-18) years techno functional experience in Cards and Payments Industry
