Job Title: Lead Operations Technician

Location: Rudrapur, Uttarakhand

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site


Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Operations Technician to manage and support daily production operations at our manufacturing plant in Rudrapur. The candidate should have good knowledge of Twin Screw Extrusion, thermoplastic processing, pelletizing systems, machine maintenance, and production troubleshooting. The role requires hands-on work in operating machines, maintaining production quality, reducing downtime, and ensuring safe plant operations.


Reporting To: Operations Manager


Key Skills Required

  • Experience in Twin Screw Extrusion machines
  • Experience in Thermoplastic production (around 800 kg/hour output preferred)
  • Knowledge of Underwater Pelletizing systems
  • Ability to operate and adjust Feeder systems
  • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Machine maintenance and breakdown handling
  • Knowledge of production quality checks
  • Familiarity with spare parts and vendor coordination
  • Basic computer knowledge for ERP/data entry
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of workplace safety and housekeeping


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate extrusion and pelletizing machines safely and efficiently
  • Maintain production output as per target
  • Monitor machine performance and reduce downtime
  • Perform basic corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Ensure production quality as per customer requirements
  • Maintain proper production logs and traceability records
  • Update lot numbers, weights, and production details in ERP system
  • Keep the plant clean and organized as per 5S standards
  • Report defective materials or equipment to management
  • Coordinate with maintenance and spare parts vendors when required
  • Ensure all materials are free from contamination
  • Support production changeovers and machine setup
  • Follow company safety rules and quality procedures


Accountabilities

  • Proper filling of production and control logs
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the plant
  • Proper handling and storage of tools and spare parts
  • Minimize machine breakdowns and production stoppages
  • Maintain production traceability records
  • Follow QMS and safety procedures at all times


Educational Qualification

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering preferred
  • ITI candidates with relevant extrusion experience may also apply


Experience Required

  • 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing


Additional Preferred Skills

  • Forklift operation experience
  • First Aid training
  • Basic electrical maintenance knowledge
  • Mechanical maintenance experience
  • Electrical license/certification is an added advantage
