Job Description

We are looking for a skilled? Lead Java Software Developer? to join our collaborative team. As a Full Stack Java Developer, you will be responsible for assisting in migrating front-end screens of the portware trading platform from Java Swing, along with back-end Java development to support the transition. This role involves collaboration with the client's development team to ensure a smooth migration and deliver improved user experiences for institutional buy-side clients. ? Responsibilities Allocate 70% of time to Java back-end development and 30% to front-end development Implement changes to Java back-end supporting the migration of front-end functionality and added features Migrate user interface components from Java Swing while ensuring Java back-end consistency, functionality, and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions Interact regularly with the financial services client to gather requirements, provide updates, and incorporate feedback into the development process Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards Execute thorough testing and debugging of migrated components to meet functional and performance expectations Address application performance bottlenecks and optimize for speed and responsiveness Document the development process comprehensively, including migration plans, technical specifications, and user guides ? Requirements Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 9+ years of professional experience in back-end Java and React or Angular front-end development with a showcase of completed projects Proficiency in back-end Java plus React or Angular, with familiarity with TypeScript and RESTful APIs Background in migrating applications from Java Swing or similar technologies to modern JavaScript frameworks Financial services knowledge Competency in analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex technical challenges Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Flexibility to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute positively to productivity ? Nice to have Relevant certifications in Java, React or Angular for front-end development
