Lead - Industrial engineer

1. Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct time & motion studies and deploy MOST methodology across plants. Troubleshoot and support cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain standard time database for key operations.
• Map actual vs. standard manpower deployment and identify optimization opportunities.
• Build process simulation models to validate line balancing, capacity utilization, and bottleneck removal.
• Support design of optimized layouts and workflows for manpower efficiency.
• Standardize manpower norms across plants; ensure best practice sharing.
• Partner with HR/Operations for manpower planning and redeployment initiatives.
• Prepare dashboards for manpower productivity and compliance.
• Train plant teams on IE concepts and MOST methodology

Project Management & Execution:

• Plan, execute, and monitor IE projects as per budget and schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants/internal SMEs for MOST deployment and simulation studies.
• Support cross-functional teams in workforce improvement projects.
• Ensure deliverables align with OpEx / Lean transformation initiatives.

Key Competencies Required

• Exposure to Lean / OpEx frameworks and continuous improvement culture.
• Strong knowledge of work measurement and manpower analytics.
• Experience in using simulation software to drive decisions.
• Good stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Internal Process:

• Prepare & submit monthly IE tracker to HOD
• Submit manpower standard compliance report quarterly.

People Management:

• Build internal SME capability in MOST and simulation.
• Provide on the job and classroom training to associates.
