Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer / SDET with strong expertise in ATG (Oracle Commerce), Java-based test automation, and API testing across REST and GraphQL services. The ideal candidate will play a key role in defining test strategies, building robust automation frameworks, and ensuring high-quality delivery of enterprise‑grade ecommerce solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute testing strategies for ATG‑based ecommerce applications
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based automation frameworks
• Perform API testing for backend services using:
• Postman
• Rest Assured
• GraphQL testing tools
• Implement and maintain contract testing using Pact
• Create and manage service virtualization and mocks using WireMock
• Test integrations between ATG, downstream services, and third‑party APIs
• Validate critical ecommerce flows such as catalog, pricing, promotions, cart, checkout, and order management
• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product teams to ensure testability
• Review requirements, identify test scenarios, edge cases, and risks early in the SDLC
• Drive defect triage, root cause analysis, and quality improvements
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership in testing initiatives
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement practices

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Java
• Hands-on experience testing ATG (Oracle Commerce) applications
• Extensive experience in API testing:
• RESTful services
• GraphQL APIs
  

Automation & Frameworks

• Java-based test automation using:
• Rest Assured
• JUnit / TestNG
• Cucumber (BDD – preferred)
• Experience with Postman for API validation
• Contract testing experience using Pact
• Service mocking / virtualization using WireMock
