Job Summary
As an AI engineer your responsibilities include working with our data scientists, product teams and engineering team to productionize and deploy agentic AI use cases, stabilizing agent performance and staying updated on the latest advancements in AIOps, DevOps and AI agent architectures.
Your ultimate aim will be the deployment, optimization and long-term stabilization of AI agents in restricted deployment environments for internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with guardrails.

As an AI engineer your responsibilities include working with our data scientists, product teams and engineering team to productionize and deploy agentic AI use cases, stabilizing agent performance and staying updated on the latest advancements in AIOps, DevOps and AI agent architectures.
Your ultimate aim will be the deployment, optimization and long-term stabilization of AI agents in restricted deployment environments for internal stakeholders while ensuring compliance with guardrails.
Responsibilities
- Refactoring and Deployment of AI agent prototypes in restricted environments – Refactoring of AI pipeline prototypes and deployment in restricted environments based on business and user requirements.
- Optimization and Deployment of prototyped AI agent tools and services – Optimize tools and services for AI agents to ensure guardrail compliance in the deployment environment.
- Development of automated tools and pipelines for AI agent deployment – Develop a highly-automated pipeline for iterative improvement of deployed agent performance.
- Feedback and Iteration - Analyze agent responses and pipeline performance, and identify areas for improvement, suggesting updates to the model, tools, pipeline or prompting techniques.
- Collaboration with Teammates – Collaborate with product teams, data engineers, and data scientists to understand AI agent prototypes and translate them into effective AI agent pipelines.
- Documentation to enable sharing of knowledge and Best Practices - Document and communicate your work clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences for future reference.
- Keeping pace with AIOps Strategy: Stay up to date on the latest advancements in natural language processing (NLP), prompting, AI and AIOps, and apply those insights to your work.
- Supports Hive Tech Lead, Product Area Lead and Engineering in strategy of agent engineering, roadmap and execution.
- Deliver outputs that make a significant contribution to the organization's strategic goals.
- Refactor and deploy AI prototypes with new tools and technologies in support of the strategic requirements of business stakeholders.
- Partner with Strategic Partner (i.e. Databricks and others) to determine the right solutions for deployment requirements.
- Promote engineering craftmanship and focus on delivering business value.
- Responsible for technical delivery and technical excellence across the squads.
- Works across multiple squads or hives for delivery of complex Features, Epics & Releases.
- Point of escalation for delivery issues across all impacted hives and squads.
- Work with Change Delivery Manager (Release Manager) to develop delivery and release plans with technical dependencies, aligning all partners with support from the team and architect.
- Exhibit passion for client experience with a user-first mindset.
- Drive the domain towards future state of banking and technology.
- Ensure the technical consistency of solutions in the Hive with the business architecture, technology architecture and enterprise technology standards.
- Study existing engineering processes and contribute to improvements to drive up efficiencies. Present ideas across other areas and foster innovation.
- Analyze, remove, or mitigate dependencies across teams to enable speed and quality of delivery.
- Responsible in the preparation of production outputs and their planning in alignment to ESDLC standards.
- Work on upskilling of technical expertise of the Engineers to enable them to become more efficient in agentic tools used day-to-day.
- Mentoring and training the squad on technical skills to become proficient at developing AI tools,, services and pipelines.
- Mitigate delivery risks and issues, and ensure quality, affordability, and scope of delivery.
- Support the remediation of tech compliance (ESDLC) requirements through the delivery lifecycle (design reviews, security reviews, code reviews, SAT, OAT, etc.) with support from HTL(Hive Tech Lead) / PO / CPO (Chief Product Owner)

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of DevOps pipeline.
- Good understanding of LLM architecture and concepts
- Experience working with large language models and other AI systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for language and storytelling.
- Ability to think creatively and solve problems, adapting to new challenges and changing priorities.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ideate and optimize AI pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with database systems (such as relational and vector databases) is a plus.
- Training - Overall 10+ year Engineering experience in building data-driven applications and 2+ years as a data / AI engineer
