Lead Frontend Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Lead Frontend Engineer to help us bring UI consistency and existing large scale applications. We aim to unify our UI by fully utilizing our shared design system library. You will be part of a dedicated team (task force) contributing to the migration initiative by delivering a high-quality experience to our customers. You will: ? Independently execute against the product roadmap, driving innovation and contributing to product strategy and frontend architecture. ? Proactively identify and resolve technical and operational bottlenecks to ensure seamless development. ? Collaborate with engineers and product teams to maintain UI consistency across applications. ? Develop scalable, maintainable frontend codebases using modern technologies. ? Lead component development, migrations, and ensure the quality of the user experience. ? Participate in and mentor others through code reviews, architecture discussions, and process improvements. Skills Required: ? Experience: 8+ years working with frontend technologies, with deep expertise in TypeScript, React.js, and Next.js. ? Architecture & Scale: Proven experience building and maintaining large-scale frontend applications. ? CI/CD Expertise: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows in frontend contexts. ? AWS Knowledge: Understanding of AWS services and how they integrate with frontend applications. ? CSS & UI Consistency: Proficient in CSS (including CSS-in-JS like Emotion.js) with a strong focus on design systems and UI consistency. ? Testing: Hands-on experience with E2E testing using Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools; familiarity with VRT (Visual Regression Testing) is a plus. ? Component Migration: Comfortable with refactoring and component migration using tools like JSCodeshift, and reading migration guides and codebase usages. ? Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to work closely with cross-functional teams.
