Lead Expert – AI / MES / Big Data & Process Control

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad for a Lead Expert – AI / MES / Big Data & Process Control. The role involves leading the design and implementation of AI and machine learning solutions to optimize solar energy production, operations, and predictive maintenance. The Lead Expert will oversee MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) for production lines, integrate process control systems, and ensure data flows seamlessly between plant operations and enterprise platforms. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, IT, and operations teams to define requirements, building and validating data models, setting standards for data quality and governance, and delivering dashboards and analytics for decision-making. The role also includes mentoring team members, evaluating new technologies, managing technical documentation, and ensuring that solutions comply with safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in AI and machine learning, including model development, deployment, and performance monitoring for industrial or energy applications.
• Hands-on experience with MES and manufacturing/plant operations systems, including integration with PLCs, SCADA, and other process control platforms.
• Proficiency in big data technologies, data engineering, and analytics tools (for example, SQL/NoSQL databases, data pipelines, and visualization tools).
• Solid understanding of process control, automation, and instrumentation concepts relevant to energy or manufacturing environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, translating operational requirements into technical solutions, and managing project timelines.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, or a related technical field; relevant industry certifications are an advantage.
• Background in renewable energy, solar manufacturing, or industrial digitalization is preferred, along with familiarity with cybersecurity and regulatory compliance in industrial settings.
