Job Purpose: Lead - Design is responsible for shaping and executing the architectural vision for airport projects. This role focuses on creating innovative, sustainable, and functional urban spaces that align with the airport’s strategic goals. Key responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, master planning, technical oversight, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with environmental and industry standards.

Purpose

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adani Airport City is developing Mixed Use Real Estate Airport Cities including Retail, Office, Hotels, Convention Centre and Arena across various cities – Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati spanning over 22 Mn. Sft in the initial Phases.

The Lead Design Architect will play a pivotal role in leading architectural design, design management for Mega real estate and hospitality projects.

The position requires a Bachelor of Architecture from a reputed institute and a proven track record of working with a multidisciplinary team of top international and Indian Architects, and consultants. This position will report to Head Design.

• Lead and oversee architectural design initiatives for hospitality-led mixed-use developments, business parks, and retail spaces.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of design concepts.
• Provide strategic guidance and innovative design solutions to enhance the aesthetic and functional aspects of projects.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, building codes, and sustainability principles in all design activities.
• Supervise and mentor junior architects to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Conduct regular site visits and participate in project meetings to monitor progress and address any design-related challenges.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies to optimize project outcomes.
• Lead the design approvals process for the respective asset across all stages of development and working with statutory consultants for respective project approvals.
  
  

Qualifications

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor of Architecture from a recognized institution such as SPA and CEPT University, JJ college of architecture.
• Preferred: M. Arch from reputed institutes.
  
  

Experience:

• 15-18 years of experience in architectural design for real estate, mixed use and hospitality projects.
• Proven track record in leading full-cycle projects from concept development to on-site completion.
  
  

Certification Required:

No specific certifications required, but relevant certifications in architectural design are advantageous.

Behavioural Skills

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
  
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM and SketchUp.
• Comprehensive understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and sustainable design practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing architectural concepts for hospitality-led projects.
  
  

Non-Negotiable Skills:

• Architectural Design for Hospitality-led mixed-use development
• Business Parks and Retail design experience
• At least one full cycle of experience from concept development to on-site completion
