About The Role

We are looking for Lead Backend Engineer to join our growing team. As Aspire enters its next phase of growth, we are building the next-generation architecture that will power our products across South-East Asia and beyond. We’re seeking highly skilled engineers with diverse technical backgrounds to help us accelerate innovation and strengthen our systems.

In This Role, You Will

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance fintech products.
Define software architecture and build resilient, fault-tolerant systems.
Build and optimize microservices-based architectures for scalability and maintainability.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, and UX.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
6–10 years of professional experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Node.js, PHP).
Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
Skilled in reviewing code, identifying issues, and upholding code quality standards.
Hands-on experience with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a track record of resolving complex technical challenges.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with full-stack development (frontend and/or mobile).
Familiarity with DevOps practices on AWS, databases, and monitoring tools.
Prior exposure to the fintech domain is a strong plus.
AI-first approach to product development—leveraging AI/ML tools, frameworks, or automation to improve scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
