AWS Cloud Engineer ? Level 3 (Senior / Lead / Architect Track) Experience: 9?14 years Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid / Onsite) Engagement: Full-time, Time & Material Role Overview The Senior AWS Cloud Engineer will lead design, automation, and optimization of complex AWS cloud environments for life sciences data-driven workflows ? including RWE processing, scientific document automation, and regulatory workflows. The individual will act as a technical leader, mentoring teams and ensuring implementation of AWS and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Architect, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and compliant AWS environments. Lead solution design for document/code generation platforms leveraging AI/ML on AWS (e.g., Bedrock, SageMaker, Textract, Comprehend Medical). Define and enforce infrastructure standards, tagging strategies, and cost governance. Drive optimization of workflows across medical affairs, clinical data, and commercial functions. Oversee RWE pipelines and data lakes integrating AWS and Databricks components. Evaluate new AWS services and design patterns for automation, observability, and performance improvements. Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain validated environments under regulatory frameworks. Mentor cloud engineers and ensure delivery aligns with client SLAs and AWS best practices. Contribute to reusable templates, IaC modules, and playbooks for repeatable deployments. Required Skills 9+ years of total and 5+ years of cloud engineering experience with deep expertise in AWS services and architecture design. Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK). Advanced knowledge of Databricks integration, RWE data pipelines, and AWS analytics stack (Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena). Experience with containerized and serverless architectures (EKS, ECS, Lambda). Solid understanding of DevSecOps, governance, and compliance in regulated environments. Proven leadership in mentoring teams and managing client-facing delivery. AWS Certified Solutions Architect ? Professional or DevOps Engineer certification preferred. Optional Add-ons Soft Skills: Communication, stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration. Domain : Pharma, clinical data, regulatory operations, medical writing automation. Tools/Frameworks: GitLab, Jenkins, Datadog, ELK Stack, ServiceNow, or AWS Control Tower.
